Shred.Co / Community, instruction, and team leadership
Before beginning digital marketing strategy work with Shred.Co, Lucas Mora knew the organization through direct experience. As lead skate instructor, he ran children’s classes at the indoor park, supported school events and volunteer programs, worked with children with special needs, provided therapeutic skate lessons, and managed employees.

The organization
Shred.Co runs skateboarding programs from an indoor skatepark in Fairfield, New Jersey, with lessons for all ages and skill levels, group classes, camps, school programs, and adaptive and therapeutic skate sessions. Local and national coverage has featured its work making skateboarding accessible.
Instruction
As lead skate instructor, Lucas ran children’s classes at the indoor park. Leading a class means reading a room of young skaters at different levels, keeping everyone safe, and making sure each kid leaves a little more confident on a board than they arrived.
Adapting
Not every rider learns the same way. Lucas worked with children with special needs and provided therapeutic skate lessons, adjusting the pace, the approach, and the goals of a lesson to the person in front of him.
These were skate lessons with a therapeutic focus, not clinical treatment, and this page makes no medical claims about them.
Community
The work reached beyond the park. Lucas worked school events and took part in volunteer work, bringing skateboarding to young people in their own schools and communities.
Leadership
Lucas also managed employees. Running a team inside the operation gave him an understanding of the business from the inside: how programs are staffed, how a day at the park runs, and what families experience.
What comes next
That inside knowledge is the foundation for what is beginning now. Lucas and Shred.Co are getting started on digital marketing strategies. This work is at its start; no marketing results are claimed.
