JV Design & Manufacturing

A Chicago manufacturer of custom elevator cabs, interiors, and entrance systems needed a website worthy of the product — technical enough for the people who specify it, considered enough for the people who approve it. We designed and built the site like an elevator ride.

The challenge

Heavy industry. Zero heavy browsing.

JV's buyers aren't impulse shoppers. They're architects specifying a cab finish, general contractors pricing a modernization, and property managers comparing fabricators — technical people doing serious diligence, usually on a deadline. The old web presence didn't carry that conversation: the craft was in the shop, not on the screen.

The objective: a website that works as a sales tool — presenting products and capabilities the way specifiers evaluate them, and converting research visits into qualified quote requests.

The concept

The website is the elevator ride.

An elevator company's site that scrolls floor to floor — each level a stage of the buyer's journey, arriving at the quote. The metaphor isn't decoration; it's the information architecture.

Quote

The destination: an RFQ flow structured for how commercial buyers actually inquire — project type, timeline, specs — so the sales conversation starts qualified.

Capabilities

Manufacturing capabilities stated plainly for the people who evaluate them: architects, general contractors, and property managers doing their diligence.

Products

Cab and interior lines organized as a browsable catalog — materials, finishes, and applications — instead of a brochure PDF.

About

The shop, the people, and the standards — credibility content for a buyer who needs to trust the manufacturer behind the panel.

Arrival

A scroll-driven opening built to make an industrial product feel considered — pure CSS and React, no video dependency, fast on a job-site phone.

The full experience — the doors, the floors, the descent — is live at jvdesignmfg.com. It's better ridden than screenshotted.

What was delivered

Not just a website. A working sales tool.

Custom design system

Typography, color, and components built for JV's brand — not a theme with the logo swapped.

Scroll-driven elevator concept

The site descends floor by floor like the product it sells — motion as meaning, implemented with performance budgets in mind.

Product & capability architecture

An information structure that lets technical buyers find materials, finishes, and capabilities without a phone call.

Quote-request funnel

An inquiry flow designed around commercial project reality: who's asking, for what building, on what timeline.

On-page SEO

Titles, structure, and copy aligned to the specialized terms elevator-industry buyers actually search.

Responsive build

Fast and legible from the office workstation to the phone in the machine room.

What changed

A presence that matches the craft.

JV now has a digital front door built for its actual buyers: products presented like a catalog, capabilities stated for specifiers, and a quote flow that starts sales conversations qualified. We don't publish traffic or lead numbers for this project — the client's pipeline is their business — and results from any project vary with market and execution.
